I completed the last seven years my schooling from St Paul H. S. School in Indore, MP, India. While I was in 10th grade, I won the prestigious NTSE scholarship. In the 12th grade, I qualified for second round of both Indian National Physics Olympiad and Chemistry Olympiad. At the end of the 12th grade, I finished school as a school topper in 12th CBSE board exam (AISSCE-2002).

After completing my schooling, I took admission into IIT Kharagpur's Mechanical Engineering Department, having qualified the IIT-JEE 2002. I opted for a 5-year Dual Degree with B.Tech. (hons) in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering.

In the first year of my college life, I won the prestigious JBNSTS scholarship, which helped me a lot in getting exposure to premier scientific research establishments in India like Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. At the end of third year in college, I did internship at John F. Welch Technology Center (General Electric company) and won the award for the best summer intern. Also in my third year, I got involved with Mekanika, the department society of Mechanical Engineering Department. In various roles such as Treasurer and Executive Body Member, I worked with the team to make Mekanika the most active department society in campus.

My bachelors project was on the innovative concept of Umbra-Langrangian mechanics for modelling dynamics of a high-speed rotating shaft having internal dissipation. My masters project was on numerical modelling of Abrasive Water Jet Machining process. The results of this work have been published in International Journal of Abrasive Technology. I graduated in 2007, ranking 2nd in the department in terms of cumulative GPA.

Professional Life

After graduating from college, I joined Shell (my current employer) as a Technology Development engineer. Over the course of next few years, I have worked as Rotating Equipment Engineer and Project Engineer with assignments in Bangalore (India), The Hague (Netherlands), and Mobile (USA). My current parent company is Shell India Markets Private Limited (SIMPL), Bangalore, India.
